The Popular Podcast vs. October Rent

We need your help. We purchased our IL Marathon ’10 registrations, but we are not quite sure yet how we are going to pay for travel to actually get to Illinois. Our friend Tim, who is mostly responsible for getting us into running in the first place, suggested we set up a per mile sponsorship structure similar to what many racers do for charities. We figure out our total expenses for attending and participating in the event, divide it by 26.2, and friends can sponsor a mile of the race. He suggested a few things we could offer in return (premium content, photos from ‘your’ mile of the race, nudes), but none seemed to be the perfect fit. Premium content is a fair trade, but we want our subscribers to have incentive to sponsor us, too ;) Photos from each mile of the race sounds great in theory, but I can see it being a real bitch to execute come race day. Nudes are perfect, but not everyone wants them. I thought of a couple potential contributors who may be turned off by nudes being the deliverable. Not only are you supporting us monetarily, you are forcing us to record a new episode every single day of October We have been talking about how we want to record more often. Honestly, I think that has been one of our goals the entire time we have been working on this project. We need to be disciplined! We need someone there threatening to spank us if we don’t record!
